About: Luke Barry
They always say it's your early experiences in life that stick with you most. For me, that was watching an international rally on my doorstep: the Jim Clark Rally.
​
Ever since I trudged into the night aged three I've been hooked. Although I've never actually competed (money doesn't grow on trees!) I have always wanted to be involved in the sport, even if it wasn't from behind the wheel.
​
I traded in the serenity of the Scottish Borders for the buzz of Edinburgh and a journalism degree at university in 2015, and from there opportunities began to arise.
​
This year marks my third year as Press Officer for the MSA Scottish Rally Championship, but my calendar is about to quadruple in size!
​
In 2018 I'll be doing work for Prestone covering the MSA British Rally Championship while also working from home providing Junior driver quotes for the FIA European Rally Championship. And to keep me on my toes, I've been selected as part of Autosport magazine's academy of journalists.
